hoffi coffi?

Brewing on the boundary of Brook Street, a bungalow is being converted into the latest campus coffee shop; ‘hoffi coffi’. Plenty opportunity for part-time work too, it seems.

We look forward, as indeed, no doubt, do local residents, to the ever expanding march of campus corporate services.

Rumours are rife of a revolving restaurant, GlamGrub, on top of G block, or whatever it’s called these days. Detailed plans are in place for a futuristic monorail, GlamRail, which will run staff, students and services between campus, Glyntaff and the Atrium. The staff wine bar, GlamGlug, is to replace the marketing department, and, finally, the heated outdoor swimming pool we’ve all been waiting for, GlamSplash, is to fill the ground floor of finance…

Well I’m glad these initiative are ongoing to improve the Glambiance® here at the University.

Presumably they’ll be selling Glamburgers® and Glam Sandwiches.

I like Glambiance very much. I’m not surprised you’ve patented it either; they’ll be using it next week…

Just for the record, Hoffi Coffi is not part of the University’s campus – it’s part of a chain.

It’s a great game. You can have a particular type of answer from Glamorgan. – The Glambiguous one.

    EG.
    Q “When can I have a regrading?”
    A “When HERA is implemented?”

    Perhaps an example of Glamatuerism

In fact I’ve just come up with Glamber – to describe the Glamorgan Yellow.

    Had enough yet?

And to finish off perhaps all of us here at the University should be called Glammonites?

    And… I’m spent.

The entire project should be called GlamFuture, and the plans for the monorail re-named GlamLazyGit!

In reply to an earlier post, Hoffi Coffi is not part of a chain.

It is local initiative, where residents, students, and any other visitors will all be welcome.

The emphasis will be on quality, local, Welsh ingredients, in a fun, vibrant and lively environment.

The response from students looking for jobs has been overwhelming, and we are expecting the mix of the staff to reflect that of the University.

It should be ready to open it’s doors sometime in December, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you all.

Yeah coffee is ok but will they be doing nice things like fresh smoothies from real nice fruit? That would be lush.

being part of the design team on hoffi coffi and also not too long out of uni myself i can ohnestly say that it is exciting to see a project like this going in place for the university area, the people involved with this project are extremely open minded and are welcoming any ideas from the people who want to see this there. im sure hoffi coffi will change to the satisfaction of all its customers and will mould into an invironment that will really help push trefforest forward as a student village. so get involved and throw your ideas at us!

I like the local angle but please could you switch off the Segafredo sign which appears to be permanently on even though the building isn’t open yet? Will it be off when the shop is closed?
