Wikipedia Science Power!

wikip

Following the very positive comments on the Difference Engine recently from our web maestro Rob Andrews it was a delight to read today that ‘Wikipedia is about as accurate on science as the Encyclopedia Britannica’

The report perfectly justifies Rob’s contention from our earlier posting that ‘the web will be remembered as a thing that mobilises collective wisdom’.

Indeed, mate

I have to agree that the simplicity and directness that seems to flow through the wikipedia is great. But I do have my doubts about the concept of collective wisdom. Collective wisdom might hold that hanging for murder is a good thing and that You’re Beautiful by James Blunt is anythingh other than intensly irritating.

Though, paradoxically, since I ALSO agree that You??????re Beautiful by
James Blunt is intensly irritating, Collective Wisdom clearly works
    on a regular basis
